Cotswold Table

Recently I had a stall at the Cotswold Table. As it was a market for all things for the table from food through to candelabras I had to work out some new table based designs
Using the lockets as a starting point I developed a selection of small sliver boxes

Silver boxes with peridot, citrine and carnelian

I made table cloth weights using rolled and domed sheet metal either brass or silver with a beautiful clear rock crystal and a tea light holder made from brass.

These are brass and rock crystal

Inspired by the ribbon necklace fasteners I make I developed this idea of Napkin Ribbons.
These are made of silver and if you don't like the ribbon you can simple change it for another colour
This collection of work can next be seen at The Great Yorkshire Show where I will be represented by Creative ID.
I will hopefully be doing The Cotswold Table again 22nd September 2013 in Kingham Oxfoirdshire.

Lockets and Ribbon

Sliver and peridot locket on a ribbon necklace

Silver and garnet locket with a ribbon necklace. The design for this pattern is based on Watered Steel or Damascus Steel of the 1700. The steel was often used in weaponry of the time. I etched the pattern directly into the silver then chemically treated the surface to change the colour. I'm currently reading The Confusion by Neal Stephenson which inspired me to look further into the mysterious Watered Steel.

After Art weeks

I had a great week at Asthall Manor for Art Weeks and met some lovely people who said really nice things about my work. So, thank you to all that came to visit and look forward to seeing you in the future.

This month I am working towards producing work for The Cotswold Table @ Kingham. A specialist food market being held on Kingham village green. Fingers crossed for good weather. I will be making items for the table.

Further information can be found at The Cotswold Table

Finally, I hope to have my new online shop open soon. Keep checking for updates.

Flower Rings

I revisited an previous ornament design and decided to develop and refine it. I have taken a flat design and added some shape and a central setting to hold a stone. The addition if enamel to the petals adds colour of the flower. I want to work on a series of ornaments to represent each season. This one is for summer.
